i'm sublimating, bitches!

i have entertained some serious ambitions for the day.  i was "inspired" yesterday and decided to mow the entire estate in one go......it went well BUT i forgot to wear shoes and i've sunburned my toes, AGAIN.  this is damn agony!   i also discovered a yellow-jacket nest and it's a large one.....when i disturbed them i saw an angry cloud lifting off.....i threw the lawn tractor into highgear and popped a wheelie and spun the hell away from there.  no stings.   sunburn + yellowjacket stings sounds like a bucket of hell i want no part of......
i've spent the day IM tagging with some guy in town who wants to meet but seems kind of chicken.  i've been in my corner of the coffee-shop with my toes being air-conditioned.  he suddenly is very vague about it and i'm, like, 'hey, i'm at the coffee shop hanging out ...show up or don't but i'm going to be working off-line on stuff."   i think the not-so-subtle hint i'm trying to communicate is "grow. the. fuck. up." i'll admit that a huge part of my being on-my-own since my partner died in 2001 is that most common faggots just tire me.......tho' i'm unsure if  i should not say "tire" me but "disappoint" me:  very few work at being a joy and a blessing, most are merely annoyances and burdens on their best days.  i have no patience for it these days.   so, i'll be doing this blog-entry and getting letters written for mr. troy, stuck-in-NYC Michael, Julie in QC, Andy in Belgium, and the big, scary, gay cuz in Baton Rouge.  i need to go grocery shopping, too.  one of my phlebotomists asked me to do a scarf for her.  i'm thinking a broken rib or a fisherman's rib.   haven't decided.  i've got tons of stashed yarn and maybe i need to consider some major stash-busting.  Birdie the Cat has had a LTR with a skein of natural alpaca yarn.  it's funny how he will sit for hours just petting it.
